Accessibility statement
Our commitment
I want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, voice control or other assistive technology. The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the current international standard. India's GIGW 3.0 guidelines and the IS 17802 accessibility standard are also built on WCAG.
What this site does
- Works fully with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link on every page.
- Uses proper headings, landmarks, lists and labels so screen readers can navigate quickly.
- Meets WCAG AA colour contrast for all text, in both the light and dark themes.
- Has text size buttons (A−, A, A+) at the top of every page, which work alongside your browser’s own zoom.
- Has a display settings button (marked "Aa") at the top of every page, to make text larger or smaller, to choose a light, dark or automatic theme, and to switch between English, Hindi and Marathi. The theme follows your device setting unless you choose otherwise.
- Lets you listen to any article: the "Listen to this article" button reads it aloud using your device's built-in voice, with pause, stop and speed controls.
- Respects your device settings for reduced motion, higher contrast and Windows high-contrast (forced colours) mode.
- Lets you zoom text to 200% and more, and reflows to a single column on small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Gives every image a text alternative and marks decorative images so they are skipped.
- Tells screen-reader users when a link opens in a new tab.
- Prints cleanly, with web addresses shown next to links in articles.
- Loads quickly, with no tracking, cookies or third-party scripts. Your display choices are remembered only on your own device.
Hindi and Marathi
The home page and this accessibility statement are also available in हिन्दी and मराठी. Articles are currently in English only.
How it was tested
The site was last reviewed on 4 October 2026. Every page was checked with the axe-core automated accessibility engine against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, on desktop and mobile screen sizes and in both themes, and by hand for keyboard use, zoom and reflow.
Known limitations
- Some links lead to other websites, such as LinkedIn and news sites, whose accessibility I do not control.
- Automated testing cannot catch every issue, so I welcome feedback from real users.
